Successive Central, state govts responsible for present JK situation: MPEJ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 21: The members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice (MPEJ) has said that though the people of Jammu and other political parties are happy over the withdrawal of support from the state government by the BJP, yet they strongly feel that the decision was much belated. Had they acted in time (withdrawal from government), the precious lives of the patriot Aurangzeb and of liberal journalist Shujaat Bukhari would have been saved. The present situation in J&K is outcome of wrong policies of all successive centre and state governments. The members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice have in its statement appealed to the people of J&K state in general and the people of Kashmir in particular for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood at all cost as there are such elements in the state who are bent upon provoking the innocent people for their vested interests in Kashmir while as their own children are living and studying outside the state and enjoying a luxurious life there without caring for the poor people of Kashmir. They expressed concern over the loss of precious lives of the poor people of Kashmir, liberal journalists/social activists and security personnel in these unfortunate incidents due to wrong and appeasement polices of the successive governments for their personal interests. |
