JAC opposes reservation in promotions | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Joint Action committee J&k (General Category) today held a strong protest at Parade Ground Poonch today in the context of the reservation in promotions under the chairmanship of Jb.Salim Bandey Convenor JAC Poonch. Salim Bandey informed the gathering about the threat to Article 370 as Center Government has issued a totally unacceptable circular asking the states to implement reservation in promotion. Centre government has forgot that Article 16(4) has not been extended to state of Jammu and Kashmir and the pressure tactics adopted by certain reserved category MLAs has maligned the sanctity and respect of the chair held by them, as well as disrespected the sovereignty of Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir which is guaranteed under the Constitution of India and upheld in various judgments of supreme court. The hue and cry created by vested interests are aimed at just creating atmosphere of animosity among the communities by taking partisan approach. The Joint Action committee seeks to impress upon through this medium that political parties and leaders and specially those occupying constitutional positions must desist from such approach and allow the law to take its course. Joint Action Committee has full faith in the leadership of Governor HE N.N Vohra Jammu and Kashmir and the Rule of law has always been upheld in State of J&K. Saleem Bandey, Niraj Sharma, Adv Sanjay Raina, Ajeet Singh, Ravi Bushan, Narinder Suri, Hyder Zaki, Dev Bhopinder Singh, Ashfaq Mir, Naveen Kar, Liaquit Banday, Subash Isher, Shabeer Bhatt, Shafiq Tantray |
