Traffic policeman returns wallet with Rs 10,000 to owner

JAMMU, June 21: A Traffic police cop has reportedly returned a wallet with Rs. 10,000 cash to his owner.
As per police Sunil Kumar S/o Kuldeep Chander R/o Bethera, Teh/Distt. Jammu lost his wallet near main chowk Paloura Jammu. He was returning home from Paloura to Bathera village.
ASI Vijay Kumar & Sgct Ajay Kumar of Traffic City Jammu, both were busy in regulations of traffic, noticed a wallet on the road side. They picked up Wallet from road and again busy in regulations because of some congestion at that time. After clear the traffic congestion, they open the wallet and found there was a lot of money, ATM, PAN card, DL etc.
Sunil Kumar had lost all hope of finding his wallet and that's when he received a call from the traffic cop. "ASI Vijay Kumar (SO, Traffic Paloura) told him to come to Paloura main Bazar and collect the wallet. Sunil Kumar thought they must have found an empty wallet with only my identity/ATM cards etc. It had around above ?10,000. But to surprise, everything was there in my wallet, untouched and safe," Sunil Kumar Said.
"It is rare to find an honest man such as ASI Vijay Kumar & sgct Ajay Kumar. Sunil also even offered them 2,000 for their honesty but they refused and saying they were only doing their duty.
"We appreciate ASI Vijay & sgct Ajay Kumar for their honest efforts. They have made us proud. We will recommend for suitable rewards for them so that others get inspiration from their Honesty," said Sh. Sunny Gupta, JKPS, DySP Traffic City North Jammu.
