Baramulla, July 4: Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department in collaboration of Regional Office Baramulla & Kupwara under the Chairamanship of Janak Raj Angural conducting Govt of India campaign on the theme of "Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan" phase second started from June 1 to August 15, 2018 in 187 Villages covered under District Baramulla & Kupwara.
Vipan Gupta, Sr. Manager, Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion Department, JKGB reviews the progress of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan Phase 2.
He highlights that during the campaign bank has enrolled 4973 enrollments under the GOI Social Security Schemes viz., PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY & APY. He highlights that the ongoing campaign is in a mission mode and is aimed to promote social harmony, reach out to poor rural households, spreading awareness about government welfare schemes, enhance livelihood opportunities and re-emphasize national priorities including cleanliness and strengthening of Panchayati Raj institutions.
He highlights that during the Phase 1 of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan Bank has conducted 475 camps by enrolling 11774 enrolments in just 19 villages and stands at number one position in the J&K State. The set target of 8651 was achieved successfully by the bank.
He strictly advised all the Branch Heads of Baramulla and Kupwara region to open the accounts of unbanked population of backward areas of these given 187 villages under Pradhan Mantri Jan DhanYojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bhima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BhimaYojana (PMSBY). He advised all branches to attain 100% saturation under social security schemes in these 187 villages given by DFS. Regional Manager Baramulla G R Bhat and Regional Manager Kupwara Abdul Khaliq Malik aware the people about the Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan a GOI programme for covering the poor population in the villages of Districts Baramulla and Kupwara.
