First obtain clearance certificate, only then you can go to Pakistan | J&K Govt's confidential document | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 4: If reports emanating from Kashmir are any indication, then it can be said that it would now be not that easy for Kashmiri youth to visit Pakistan. Reports say, "following inputs that youths from the Valley are crossing over to Pakistan on valid visas for arms training, Jammu & Kashmir Police has recommended that youths intending to visit Pakistan should be asked to get a clearance certificate from police before embarking on the trip". "Any youth between the age group of 18-30 years, who intends to go to Pakistan on valid visa, should get clearance slip from the concerned district SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) or FRRO office," a report quoting a "confidential police report prepared by Jammu & Kashmir Police" has said. The recently-prepared report has further said: "For the past some time, particularly since 2016, a new trend in the terrorist recruitment has emerged and local youth of valley are being sent to Pakistan on valid documents, where they are being trained in terrorist camps and then sent back either through the same route or along with the group of terrorists via LoC (Line of Control) as part of infiltration". The report further indicates that "a militant recruitment network is active in the Valley to facilitate the visit of potential militants to Pakistan for arms training" and that "the investigations conducted into the matter so far revealed that a strong network is operating in Valley and from across the border, who are facilitating it and managing visa for the travellers." As per the confidential report, which, according to a report, "has been circulated among top police officers of the state, "from Bandipore district alone, at least five youths crossed over to Pakistan through Wagah on valid visas and haven't returned yet". The report further said that "even parents of these boys are unaware about their travel to Pakistan" and that the "two local militants, who were killed on May 26 at the Line of Control in Tanghdar, along with three other infiltrating militants, had gone to Pakistan on valid visas". The report has also reportedly suggested that "in case of minors intending to travel to Pakistan, an authorization letter from their parents should be made mandatory besides the clearance certificate from police". |
