Terror recruitment in Kishtwar: Police arrest one more accused | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, July 4: In a major crackdown on Hizb terror network in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday arrested one more person from Dachhan area for his involvement in recruiting the three youth in militant ranks. Sources told Early Times that the accused Tariq Hussain son of Mohammad Amin Wani of Wani Mohallah Sounder Dachhan had allegedly motivated the three youths Usman Ahmed Wani, Sajid Ahmed and Junaid Ahmed to join Hizbul Mujahedeen at the instance of Rameez Ahmed Wani son of Master Javed Ahmed Wani of Tandar Dachan and Nissar Ahmed Ganie son of Bashir Ahmed Ganie originally a resident of Amratgarh Tehsil Charala of district Doda and at present residing in Deewaro Link Road Kishtwar. They have been named in FIR No.182/2018 u/s 120-B, 121,121-A , 4/5 Explosives Act, 7/25 Indian Arms Act and 3/13 Unlawful Activities Act registered in police station Kishtwar and are presently on 10-day police remand. The sources said that 24 year old Tariq Wani dumped the three youths at some location inside Dachhan forests so that he can hand them over to another person so that they could be sent to Hizb commander Jahingir Saroori After hearing about the arrest of Rameez Wani, the accuse Tariq Wani went into hiding before he was arrested by the police. During the preliminary questioning, arrested Tariq spilled the beans about his role and role of few other people in reviving the militancy in Kishtwar district and possible targets. Despite repeated attempts, SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary could not be reached for his comment on the latest development in the case. The sources said that Kishtwar police are continuously conducting raids at several place to nab the persons whose names have surfaced during the questioning of the three accused, who are presently in police custody. After arresting the Tariq Wani, Kishtwar police today shifted him to police station Kishtwar and would produce him before the magistrate for police remand. Meanwhile the sources said that during the questioning of the two accused persons Rameez Wani and Nisar Ahmed, it has come to fore that two youths Mudasir Ahmed and Osama Javed, younger brother of Rameez Wani, who were studying in a college in Srinagar, fled from there in July 2017. Both are missing since then and its believed that they have joined terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba. Sources said that Osama Javed is presently said to be active in south Kashmir areas bordering Kishtwar district and is in process to shift the group of militants in Kishtwar district as and whenever he gets the opportunity. |
