| MV International school celebrates Quit India Day | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 9: MV International School organized a guest lecture on the eve of 'Quit India Day'. The speaker of the lecture was Pooja Parihar who is presently working as Assistant Professor (History) in Government College for Women, Parade Jammu.
In her lecture, Parihar discussed the history of Quit India Movement or Bharat Chodo Andolan, Civil Disobedience Movement and what are the results and significance of Quit India Day. Quit India Day was truly a turning point in India's Struggle for freedom. Father of the Nation, Gandhiji gave a call to mases and urged them to raise their voice against British and asked them to 'Quit India'. Earlier, K.L.Dogra, Principal MVIS briefed the students to create awareness about the historic day in India's struggle for Independence. Indu Kapoor, Administrator, MVIS closed the session with vote of thanks. |
