Jammu, Aug 9: National Conference today termed Article 35-A is identity of Jammu and Kashmir and BJP led central government should stop fiddling with it as the same can lead to a new phase of chaos across the state.
While addressing in party's youth workers meet at SK Bhawan Jammu, Provincial President of Youth NC, Ajaz Jan said that present BJP headed Government of India should stop fiddling with state's special status as it's a historical base of state and connected with sentiments and emotions of masses here. He castigated BJP for blowing out an issue and said that all the controversies have been made mere to hide the failure of BJP both in state and center as party has badly failed to deliver. He further said that coalition partners PDP-BJP are now accusing each other for discrimination and hurdles in smooth functioning of previous Government which is nothing more than an attempt to eye-wash people's towards their failures. Jan also asked BJP to clear it's stand as party always demanded 35-A like protection in Maharashtra but is opposing same provision of constitution in Jammu and Kashmir. While interacting with party's youth cadre, Jan asked them to be fully prepared for upcoming municipality and panchayat polls besides to increase mass contact programme for further party strengthening. |
