JKESL pays tributes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 9: The veterans led by President of J&K Ex-Services League Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal observed two minute silence in the main office of J&K Ex-Services League to pay tribute to the 4 Martyrs Maj KP Rane, Hameer Singh, Vikramjeet Singh and Mandeep Singh Rawat of 36 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) who lost their lives in Gurez to foil a major infiltration bid by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants. The Veterans also appreciated the professionalism stead fastness, courage, sacrifice and discipline of the Indian Soldiers in the Defence of the State particularly during the last one year which is obvious from today's operations at Rafiabaad where four militants have been killed. It is pertinent to mention about the Kashmiris attitude towards the soldiers and even their own IAS officers serving in the State who give their best for the State and yet they cannot settle in the State. All this when the Kashmiri themselves are buying and owning property in Bombay and Delhi etc. Is it not humbug! People of Jammu have started thinking that time has come to separate from Kashmir like good brothers before it becomes too bitter. It is their firm belief that Jammu will prosper better like Himachal Pradesh after separation from Punjab. |
