Senior police official claimed that the teams are working on different theories including whether the seized cash was part of terror funding, hawala money, stolen during thefts, narco terrorism or human trafficking and also detained some more Rohingyas in this connection.
"Some Rohingyas were arrested in past for narcotics smuggling while some were also arrested for trafficking of Rohingyas girls in the state", said senior official adding that all the aspect are under investigation.
It is pertinent to mention here that last night Noor Alam and Ismayil, two Rohingyas, presently staying near Chatta, were absconding but their relatives have been detained for questioning to get clues about the cash, which was around Rs 30 lakh.
The cash had been dumped in jhuggies of the Rohingyas and police acting on specific information raided the jhuggies and seized the cash.
A police sources said that without the arrest of two masterminds Ismayil and Noor Alam it is very premature to claim the source of money as the detained persons have no knowledge of the source of the money.
