Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 3: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Ambphalla today called on Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai and submitted a memorandum of their demands. The delegation was led by Sabha President KK Khosa, who said that administration has put the problems of displaced Kashmiri Pandits on back burner and displaced have been relegated to second class citizens. Khosa retorted that all want to return but there may be reservations about methodology of rehabilitation process. "Unless administration holds a dialogue with stake holders how can a rational process of return be framed", he said. Advisor gave a patient listening to the arguments of the delegation. Khosa sought the attention of the Advisor towards the payment of ex-gratia relief for the burnt / damaged property. He was apprised that 1 lakh ex-gratia was paid to some sufferers as immediate relief and no further assessment of loss has been made nor paid. Some have received no ex-gratia at all. Ganai agreed to look into the matter. The delegation members include AK Braroo, SL Bagati, BL Tiku, JL Zutshi, Deepak Dhar, Kewal Sher, Rajinder Tiku, Dr. Usha Tickoo, Jatender Parimoo and Shama Handoo. |
