| Infamous SI strikes deals with chicken corner owners | | Open access to liquor in chicken shops | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: An infamous Sub-Inspector who has been posted as incharge of a police post along the National Highway in Udhampur-Reasi (UR) Range has stooped so low that he has struck deals with some anti-social elements for legalising the crime. Sources said that the police officer recently struck deals with owners of chicken corners in his jurisdiction and allowed them to indulge in anti-social activities in lieu of money. If sources are to be believed, the infamous officer sent his 'karyakhaas' to the owners of all the chicken corners for striking a deal with them by allowing their customers to drink liquor in the chicken corners. After striking the deal, all the chicken corner owners are now openly serving liquor to their customers, said sources.
"This has become cause for various road accidents in the area as the drivers have open access to liquor in chicken corners without any objection", said sources. Not only this, the cop, on the eve of Diwali, struck deals with gamblers of his area and allowed them to freely operate gambling dens in his jurisdiction in lieu of money.
It is pertinent to mention here that the incharge police post has bad track record as he was transferred on complaint from the police posts he had earlier served in Jammu district.
Sources claimed that the police officer has political contacts which he had used for his choicest posting after he was ousted from a police post in Jammu district when his contacts with drug dealers were established and he was again ousted from another police post after he joined hands with mining mafia for allowing them safe passage during night hours. |
