Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 3: Anti Corruption Bureau, Jammu today caught Patwari Halqa Lakhnote Nagri Kathua red handed while demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant, in order to conduct demarcation of his land. A complaint came to be lodged in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu by the complainant that he presented an application seeking demarcation of his land falling under khasra No 123 and 124 situated at Lakhnote Nagri, Kathua before the accused Patwari namely Nazakat but since October till date no demarcation was conducted despite repeated requests and at last the Patwari Nazakat demanded an amount of Rs. 4000/- as bribe for conducting the demarcation. He called the complainant Monday with the bribe money. Acting swiftly, a formal case (FIR 39/2018) was registered at Police Station VOJ now Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu for investigation and after competing all the required legal formalities, the team of ACB Jammu laid a successful trap and apprehended the Patwari, red handed, while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 4000/- from the complainant. Further investigation of the case are going on. |
