| JKReTF stages protest for implementation of 7th pay commission | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar e Taleem Teacher Forum (JKRETF) members today staged protest demonstration, seeking implementation of the 7th Pay commission recommendations and release of pending salaries for the last many months.
Scores of teachers chanted slogans during protest demonstration, which held under the aegis of JKRETF.
State convenor of the Forum said that they have not received any salary for the last five to six months and despite repeated requests nothing has been done. "We are requesting and appealing to the Governor to intervene and solve our problems on fast track basis", she said.
She added teachers are suffering without salaries from quite a long time and it has adversely affected their children's education.
Another protesting teacher said that they have been forced by the government administration to come on the streets and protest. |
