Early Times Report Vijaypur, Dec 17: As part of the ongoing intensive publicity awareness campaign on Right to Information Act, SVEEP and Drug Abuses which was kick started by Bureau of Outreach and Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Jammu and Kashmir Region in the month of December 2018 in 6 identified districts. Field Outreach Bureau of Bureau of Outreach and Communication in close coordination and cooperation with Health Department, District Administration Samba, Education Department and other sister media organizations of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting viz: Doordarshan News, All India Radio and Song and Drama Wing, organized a day long awareness programme on Drug Abuse and Its Ill Effects on the Society at BBN Hr. Secondary School, Vijaypur, Samba today. The programme was organized in order to sensitize and mobilize the masses in general and rural masses in particular, especially the youth community at the grass root level about various ill, medical and social effects of using drugs in the long run of life. On the occasion, a seminar was organized which was attended by a large number of audience that includes; teachers and students of the host educational institution beside Anganwadi Workers and Helpers of the area, PRI members and locals of the vicinity. |
