Udhampur, Pardeep Vaid, Ajay Langer, Bansi Lal Gupta, Lavinder Singh Puri, Sandeep Mittal, Vivek Singhal, Viraaj Malhotra, Ratesh Mahajan and other Executive Committee Members of the Federation. During the course of discussions, the members present from all the Industrial Associations of Jammu Province and Chairman FCIK from Kashmir in the meeting raised serious concern in respect of repeated attempts of some vested interest people who are bent upon to destroy the Industrial Sector of J&K by raising for their voice for the removal of Toll Tax at Lakhanpur with their ill design to allow the import/export of unaccounted goods in/from the State which may be resulting huge Financial Loss to the State Exchequers as well as to the Industrial Sector of J&K who are working in State in spite of all the odds since last 30 years as they are facing stiff competition from the Manufacturers/ Traders from outside the State. It is pertinent to mentioned here that Toll Tax at Lakhanpur is a safeguard for the Industrial Sector of J&K to check the Import/Export of Unaccounted Goods, Contraband & other banned items to & fro from other parts of the country. & if the Govt. withdraw the Toll Tax at Lakhanpur Checkpost, the whole State shall be flooded with the unaccounted goods & other related material which will prove as death nail for the Industrial Sector of the State & the worst suffers will be the Industrial Sector of the State. They appealed Satya Pal Malik to kindly intervene into the matter to assure that the Toll Tax at Lakhanpur should be continued for the safeguard of J&K Industrial Sector and which is also safeguard to prevent import/export of unaccounted goods in/from the State. |
