Poonch, Feb 3: Increased abuse of drugs by youth has been a cause of worry for Poonch residents.
Locals have accused the police of encouraging drug smuggling and promoting addiction.
According to locals, if a drug peddler is caught, the police release his immediately. The increased drug addiction , locals said has claimed many lives. The police have registered cases but no action has been taken, they said.
The Poonch civil society has urged the Governor to take not of the matter and direct the police to take stern action against the drug peddlers. |
