Jammu, Feb 24: Punjab Lekhak Sabha Jammu organized a fortnightly literary meet at Tagore Public Hr. Secondary School, Rani Bagh, Digiana, Jammu today. S. Joginder Singh Pandhi, a senior Punjabi writer from Kashmir was the chief guest on this occasion. Writers and poets of Punjabi attended the meet and presented their creations. Dr. Monojit, President, Punjab Lekhak Sabha welcomed the poets and writers who attended the meeting. He complimented Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina for getting an award in Punjab for his contribution in the field of Punjabi literature of J&K state. He declared that one day seminar on the contribution of S. Piara Singh Dhanjal, a senior Punjabi poet of Jammu would be organized during the first or second week of April, 2015. He also informed that S. Amar Singh Kuka, Vice- President of PLS would look after the affairs of PLS. he appreciated the team spirit shown by all the members of the Sabha for working wholeheartedly for promoting the Punjabi literature. A poetry recitation session was held where Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Suraj Singh Suraj, Harbhajan Singh Upasak, Dr. Monojit, Piara Singh Dhanjal, Kewalpal Singh Kewal, Jang S. Verman, Harjit Singh, Uppal, Pritam Singh Anjaan, Balwinder Singh Deeppr, Amar Singh Kuka, Joginder Singh Pandhi, Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina recited their poems and Ghazals with the themes related to day to day life situations, malpractices, exploitation and social ills. |
