GDC Kathua, where students stay away from toilets | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Feb 24: Filthy, dirty and pathetic condition of toilets are creating inconvenience to students of Government Degree College Kathua where more than 3,000 students, boys and girls seek education. The students said the college toilets were dirty and give a nauseatic feeling. "The doors of toilets broken, taps are defunct and there is no water available. We have complained a lot of times to college Principal and staff but nothing has done so far," they said. The girl students said they avoid using the washrooms. We do not drink water to avoid going to the dirty washrooms. It is pertinent to mention here that GDC Kathua established in 1961 and College is accredited with 'A' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation council (NAAC ) but the ground situation narrates a different story. The students have sought immediate measures. |
