PDP leader ridicules at Governor, calls him Ahaedi Raaze! | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 24: Even as the Peoples Democratic Party led government was seen as a "failure" and PDP's then minister Naeem Akhter was often accused of being an "even bigger failure", the former minister has seemingly started ridiculing at Raj Bhawan. In the latest, Naeem Akhter, who is himself known by many nicknames like "Birbal", called Governor "Ahaedi Raaze" on the social media. In response to a tweet by a Kashmiri journalist, Akhter made the controversial remarks. In his tweet the journalist who works with national media had told that Governor has asked the people to be calm and that there was nothing to panic about. But the former minister made the controversial tweet in response. The social media users took a serious note of the remarks as made by Akhter, who was previously a government servant. "Someone who had worked as a government official should know the ethics of addressing to Governor. This tweet has only shown his true colors," said one official on the condition of anonymity. It is pertinent to mention here that "Ahaedi Raaze" was the lead character of comedy serial Hazaar Dastaan aired on Doordarshan. The character would often behave in a way that would attract satire and the viewers would laugh at the comedian. A senior politician said such a behavior having come from the person who was also the spokesman of the PDP has only set a "bad precedence." "Use of such language is only condemnable," said the politician. Akhter would often remain in controversy as ministers of various departments. He was subsequently sidelined by the party. Despite repeated attempts, Akhter couldn't be contacted for comments. |
