JK Physically Challenged Cricket Team leaves for National Championship | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 24: Jammu & Kashmir Physically Challenged Cricket team left for participation in a national Championship titled "Super Six Divyang Cricket Championship" which is being organized by Uttar Pradesh Physically Challenged Cricket Association at Lucknow under the auspicious of Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India. The other participating teams include Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. The flag off ceremony was conducted at Parade Ground Jammu in a simple and impressive function. Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player and Cricket Promoter was the Chief Guest whereas Ashish Singh MD Horizon Group of Companies was the Guest of Honour. The Chief Guest and Guest of honour distributed the Uniforms and sports equipments among the selected players of the J&K team. While speaking on the occasion Rajesh Gill who is also the caretaker of the J&K Physically Challenged Cricket team informed the J&K Cricketers that the best performers in the said championship will be shortlisted for the national team(India team) and the national team will participate in the World Cup which is being scheduled to be held at England from August 2 to 16 . |
