Kundal resigns as president J&K Dharmarth Trust | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 24: Former Chief Secretary BR Kundal has resigned from the post of president J&K Dharmarth Trust. In a letter written to the Chairman Trustee of the Trust Dr Karan Singh, Kundal has cited joining active politics as the reason of his resignation. In his resignation letter, Kundal said, "In view of my having joined a political party, I no longer can work as President of J&K Dharmarth Trust. Therefore, I submit my resignation which may kindly be accepted." "It was a pleasure and privilege to work under your guidance and the time period spent as president will always be remembered as being one of the most satisfying and purposeful. With your full support, I was able to achieve a lot in improving the functioning of the trust besides completing various repair works, renovations and face-lifting of various temples constructed by Dogra rulers. During this period, I worked with full sincerity and dedication without looking for any other thing except interest of the trust. I also avoided any financial burden on the trust by not drawing any remunerations and using other facilities wherever available, even while on tours. Before concluding I will fail in my duties if I don't express my thanks to the trustees for their support and faith reposed in me. Equally supportive and cooperative were the council members and the staff of the trust," Kundal further said in his resignation letter. |
