AJKNASTMA urges Guv to create more posts of Stenography Lecturers | | | Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Feb 24: Even after four years of conduct of DPC, large number of postgraduate teachers and masters trained in Stenography subject are still waiting for their adjustment as lecturer. This was stated by the members of All J&K Non-Adjusted Stenography Teachers/Masters Association (AJKNASTMA), who urged upon the Governor Satya Pal Malik for creation of more posts for their adjustment as Lecturers in the School Education Department. In a meeting held here under the leadership of Association president Ravi Singh, the members said there are number of postgraduate teachers and masters trained in Stenography subject but they were not elevated to the post of Lecturer despite the conduct of DPC in 2013-14. They alleged that some of the blue-eyed persons of the ministers were elevated as Lecturers despite being junior during the regime of previous government but seniors were deliberately ignored. They said that memorandum of the demands was also submitted to the Secretary School Education but nothing was done to redress the problem. Stenography is technical subject and every department has posts of stenographers but there are only 20 vacancies of Lecturers in Stenography, they added. Association Secretary Vinay Kumar urged upon the government for creation of more posts of Lecturers in Stenography so that all PG teachers and masters trained in Stenography subject can be adjusted as Lecturers. He appealed to the Governor to intervene personally for redressal of the long-pending demand. |
