JAMMU, FEBRUARY 25: Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu Vinod Chatterji Koul, today chaired a Lok Adalat held at District Court Complex Janipur.
During the Lok Adalat, six benches were constituted for settlement of cases of different nature. Bench number 1 which comprised of V.C. Koul, Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, Nighat Sultana, Addl. District Judge, Bank Cases, Jammu, and Haq Nawaz Zargar 3rd Addl. District & Sessions Judge, TADA/POTA dealt with Bank Cases, Civil Cases and Criminal Revision.
Bench number 2 comprising Mohan Lal Manhas, Special Judge, Anti Corruption, CBI Cases Jammu and Jatinder Singh Jamwal, Presiding Officer, MACT Jammu, dealt with MACT cases.
Similarly, bench number 3 comprising Ashwani Kumar Sharma (Chief Judicial Magistrate) Jammu and Pawan Sharma Sub Judge, Jammu, Arti Devi Munsiff, JMIC Jammu dealt with cases U/s 138 N.I Act & Petty Offences, Cr. Compoundable & Petty Criminal offences.
Besides, Bench number 4 comprising S.S. Bali, Sub Judge, Special Mobile Magistrate, 13 Finance, Jammu, and Manjeet Rai Spl. Mobile Magistrate, P&T Jammu dealt with Electricity, Water and Passenger Tax Cases and Civil Cases of all nature.
Bench number 5 comprising Naushad Ahmed Khan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jammu and Dinesh Gupta, Special Mobile Magistrate, Traffic Jammu dealt with Traffic Cases. Likewise, Bench number 6 comprising Manoj Parihar, Special Municipal Magistrate, Jammu, Slahuddin Ahmed, Addl. Mobile Magistrate, Jammu and Wangial Tsering, Forest Magistrate, Jammu dealt with Municipal & Petty compoundable offences.
A total of 341 cases were taken up, of which, 320 cases were disposed off and Rs. 1878415 was realized as compound fee. |
