JKAACL holds Kavi Rattan memorial lecture in Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 27: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Language on Wednesday hold Kavi Rattan memorial lecture at K. L Sehgal Hall, Culture academy complex Jammu. Dr. Aijaz Hajini Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art and Culture and Languages expressed his congratulations to the theatre fraternity on the occasion of World Theatre day. He said that theatre in Jammu has been vibrant ever before as the academy has organised number of festivals including Nukkad theatre festival, annual drama festival,m Dogri Theatre festival and District drama festival. He expressed hope that theatre in Jammu and Kashmir province as well is expected to be more vibrant as this year 22 theatre groups of the district Jammu showed their participatio. Aijaz Hajini added that in order to alleviate theatre especially in Jammu and Kashmir, the production cost and award money for actors' and technical esteem has seen sharp increase. Pritam Katoch, theatre artist presented a paper on the contribution of Late Kavi Rattan towards Jammu theatre. Ravinder Koul, an eminent theatre critic and artist delivered a lecture global scenario of theatre in the modern day order. The award money cheques of annual drama festival 2018-19 were also distributed to the participants groups and the individual artists as well by Dr Aijaz Hajini. |
