Jammu, Mar 27: In a contempt petition filed by Rashpal Singh & Ors, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma after hearing Adv DS Parihar for the applicant whereas Deputy AG KDS Kotwal for the State, directed Chief Engineer, I&FC Departm-ent, Jammu to remove all encroachments along or on the Nallah in exercise of its powers under Section 83 of the Jammu and Kashmir Water Resources (Regula-tion and Management) Act 2010. DB further directed SSP Jammu to provide adequate police protection to the staff of the Chief Engineer, I&FC Depart-ment, Jammu to ensure the implementation of the order passed by this Court.
