Market checking conducted | | | KISHTWAR, Apr 4: A joint team of enforcement agencies today conducted a surprise market checking here in the main Kishtwar town and fined the traders for different violations including overcharging. The checking was conducted amid public complaints about overcharging and sale of poor quality and unhygienic stuff by shopkeepers in the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. The team inspected several establishments including vegetable, fruit, mutton and poultry shops. The officials destroyed rotten vegetables and substandard dairy items and charged Rs 7900 as fine from the erring traders. The enforcement team was headed by Naib Tehsildar Kishtwar Javed Khanday. TSO Kishtwar while ASI Shams Din and other police officers assisted the team in successful conduct of Market checking. |
