Jammu, May 7: Shamshaan Enlightenm-ent Welfare Association (SEWA) has appealed the authorities to provide facilities at Shamshan Ghat Bhour camp.
Jagdish Kumar Sharma expressed concern over condition of Shamshan Ghat as there is no facility to perform rituals, on the day people bath and wash clothes, with the lack of facility people in general and females in particular facing problems.
SEWA highlighted the genuine demands of the society in the Shamshaan Ghat as 'Satsang Hall' for chanting during cremation, more cremation sheds, raising up of dead body keepings, water & electricity in cremation ground, a comprehensive provision for bathing and washing during 10th day kriya, protection crate wall, boundary wall, tiling of floor beside others.
Prominent among others include Ex ZEPO Hem Raj Ranyal, S. Chanpreet Singh, Rohit Khajuria, Suresh Sharma, S. Joginder Singh, Miss Rozi Raina, Sunil Kumar and Pt Chaman Lal Sharma. |
