R&B fails to take up vital road, bridge projects | | | S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 7: Despite having sufficient funds, the R&B department has failed to kick start construction of new roads and other vital projects in Jammu and Kashmir. As of now no road in Jammu and Kashmir is in good condition, while as the construction of various government buildings sanctioned by former legislators in their respective constituencies, said sources is still pending. Sources said, if we talk of the summer capital of J&K, the roads are in shambles, on daily basis some mishaps are occurring and the authorities concerned are least bothered about it. Locals said that, few weeks ago the authorities had filled several potholes in Baramulla town but major portions on the highway are in tatters. However locals of Singhpora said, the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road is in shambles, there are big potholes on maximum portion of the road, while as 7 meters roads at Kanispora has took everyone surprised as the department concerned has failed to find out the way to get it solved. A local resident of Kanispora said that, my hopes to become a father was snatched, after my wife met with a horrific accident as recently she had conceived a baby, but one and half months baby got abort due to heavy potholes on Kanispora road near Jee Sahib Petrol Pump. "Due to heavy jerks in a van and traffic jam, my wife was just returning home from Baramulla towards Kanispora, after which we came to know that the baby had got aborted by heavy jerks, and it is all due to callous and selfish attitude of the concerned authorities. |
