JAMMU, May 7: The former BJP Minister and party General Secretary Sunil Kumar Sharma today tear into the police and administration for their failure in arresting the culprits involved behind the killings of Parihar brothers, RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar. While addressing a gathering during three hour long sit-in outside Dak Bungalow Kishtwar, Sunil Kumar Sharma warn the police and administration over their failure in tackling the growing radicalization and to prevent spreading of militancy and strengthening of OGW network in Kishtwar District that has virtually taken back KishtwarDistrict to early 1990s era when hardliner militants carried out the massacres of minority community. He said that it is due to growing radicalization in the state, people like Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Atal was killed by the militants only because he was upholding the Indian flag and played its part in strengthening the grass root level democracy. He said that BJP will not allow to push Kishtwar back to militancy era when the massacre of people with particular ideology was carried out at will. He while paying tribute to late RSS leader Satish Bhandari who was killed by the militant on 10-05-1993 said that his sacrifice along with the sacrifices of many nationalist people will not be allowed to go waste. He said that the hand of involvement of cops in selective political killings cannot be rule out adding that without local and police support, such terror attacks are not possible. The decision to hold the three hour sit in was taken during the successive meetings of District units of BJP, BJYM and Women wing of the party held at BJPheadquarter Kishtwar under the Chairmanship of Pardeep Singh Parihar, District President Kishtwar. During the protest dharna, the speakers expressed grave resentment against the administration regarding its lackadaisical approach in tackling the selective killings of BJP and RSS leaders in a span of less than six months. |
