Jammu, May 7: A 20-year old woman was found dead in Bahu Plaza area here on late Tuesday evening.
Sources said that the victim identified as Sheetal, 20, wife of Tota Ram, of Valmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar was found in a pool of blood near Gold Gym, Bahu Plaza. The body was spotted by a police constable, Ganesh Kumar, posted at Trikuta Nagar police station. He informed his higher ups and the victim was rushed to the Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared her "brought dead."
Initial investigations have revealed that the girl was stabbed in the abdomen. "The body of the girl is in the possession of police and further investigations are on," said an official.
He said that the case stands registered and efforts are on to nab the killers. |
