| Forest fire fighting awareness camp organized | | |

Jammu, May 7: Jammu Forest Division has organized forest fire fighting awareness camp at village Marh to aware public about impact of forest fire and importance of forest.
The awareness camp was organized under the supervision of Satpal IFS, DFO, Jammu.
Vijay Khosla, Range Officer, Jammu Forest Range exhorted upon all present gathering to take all possible preventive and pre-emptive measures to keep this fire demon at bay to safe guard the forests during the current season for a life supporting ambience.
DFO Jammu also appealed to local inhabitants residing near to the Forest areas to contribute towards this noble mission of saving our flora and fauna from onslaught of fire and also provide assistance to the Forest field in controlling forest fire.
The Forest officials also made the public aware with different fire fighting equipments and ways to use.
The representatives of local areas including Sarpanch, Naib Sarpanch, and Chairman of village Marh, Drabi and adjoining areas were also present during this awareness camp and appealed the general public to fully corporate with Forest Officials in controlling the forest fire.
