Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 7: With a view to redress the problems being faced by the people of far-off areas at their door step, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat conducted a extensive tour of Ganote area located 25 Km away from Ramban district headquarter in the extreme North-East of it, to have an on spot stock of the development in the area and listen to their grievances. The DDC, while on his surprise visit to Ganote alongwith the CMO, Ramban, Dr. Saif-u-din Khan reached at the end distal of the under-construction Mehad-Ganote PMGSY link road and listened the grievances of villagers. Enroute various public deputations called on DDC at Damnote, Chabba, Pali and Kanthi for apprising him about their grievances including electrification of some hamlets, supply of tapped water, proper ration supply, functioning of Anganwadi centres, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Dispensaries, shortage of staff in schools and health centres. Surrounded by excited villagers, DDC after patiently hearing the villagers' grievances directed concerned officers to take immediate remedial measures to redress their grievances meantime AD, FCS&CA was directed to ensure proper and quality ration supply in the area. Responding to their long pending major issue of construction of Mehad-Ganote road being executing by the PMGSY, DDC, directed the engineers to complete the work besides maintaining quality of construction material. |
