State achieves 96% coverage of Children’ Immunization | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 7: In a significant achievement regarding immunization of children in the age group of 0 to 1 years J&K State has achieved 96% achievement in fully immunized children. Last year’s achievement was 93%. Directorate of Family Welfare MCH & Immunization conducted a lot of special immunization drives and mass campaigns like Measles Rubella, Mission Indradhanush, National Immunization Days, Special Immunization sessions in hard to reach and migratory population of J&K. Atal Dulloo Principal Secretary to Govt. Health & Medical Education Department, J&K with his visionary approach has been instrumental in providing all support to the department which led to such a remarkable achievement. Atal Dulloo Principal Secretary to Govt. Health & Medical Education Department, J&K hailed the hard work of thousands of workers who in spite of tough conditions and terrains have worked very hard so that not a single child is left unimmunized. Dr. Arun Sharma Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization J&K said that the department is committed in providing best quality vaccines and reiterated that we have state of art Cold Chain system in the State and we will certainly improve our indicators in the next year. |
