| District Level Inter-Zonal Sports competition held | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, May 7: The District Level Inter-Zonal Sports competition in the age group of U-14/17 in Girls section was inaugurated in the Zorawar Singh Sports Complex Reasi in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho.
In the competition around 300 players of all Zones of Reasi are participating.
R C Mishra, DYSSO Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion, who declared the tournament open in a simple and well attended function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mishra appreciated the dedication of participants who travel from the far flung areas of District Reasi to show their talent and he also adviced to staff that ensure maximum participation of girls in near future.
The tournament is being organized as a part of Annual Sports calender by District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi under the overall supervision of Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K.
In Volleyball (U-17) final, Pouni beat Reasi By 2-0. The set scores were 25-21 and 25-20 while in (U-14) final, Reasi beat Chassana by 2-0. The set scores were 25-22 and 25-23.
In Kabaddi (U-17) final, Mahore beat Reasi by 10 pts. The score was 20-10 while in (U-14), final, Reasi beat Pouni by 11 pts. The score was 23-12.
In Kho-Kho (U-17) final, Pouni beat Reasi by 7 pts. The scores remained 17-10 while in (U-14) final, Reasi beat Chassana by 4 pts. The score was 12-8. |
