| DB dissatisfied with affidavit, direct to file better affidavit | | PIL regarding child abuse | |

Jammu, June 7: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Advocate Shivan Mahajan against child abuse, a Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sindhu Sharma observed that status report has been filed in terms of order dated February 2, 2019 wherein a stand is taken that an Act has been promulgated vide SRO 133 dated February 26, 2019 and it is also stated that the process has been initiated for creation of a separate department for women and children.
The DB further observed that the affidavit March 1, 2019 does not give the details as regards what steps have actually been taken to the achieve that purpose, directed to file better affidavit. |
