Munish asks people to reject slogans, rhetoric | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 7: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Friday said that people of Jammu during the past seven decades have been fed on slogans and rhetoric. While carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish told the people that he has no slogan to sell and cannot promise them moon and stars. "But I promise you that if I win I will always remain available for my people and would try my best to become your voice," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "As a common man I can understand the pain of my people and their sufferings. All of us are aware about the performances of our leaders, who appear during election season and then disappear after getting the mandate. We have to stand on our own feet and send a clear message to such leaders that they cannot take us for granted anymore." Munish said, "I know it very well that the politicians whom I have decided to challenge are very powerful and it won't be easy for me to create a space in their bastions but if my people support me equations can change easily." He asked people to sit back and introspect rather than just closing their eyes and voting for the leaders, who except "lip service" have nothing much to offer. |
