GRS deputation calls on DC Kishtwar, seeks his intervention

Kishtwar, June 7: A deputation of GRS who were asked by the High Court to continue after J&K Government decided to disengage led by JKPM Chenab Valley Coordinator advocate Nazim Qazi, who is also counsel for the petitioner called on DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana and seeks his intervention in implementation of court order by passing an appropriate order.
The deputation called upon DC Kishtwar at Mini Secretariat to discuss the issue of salaries of MGNREGA employees.
As per the details available with Early Times, JKPM Coordinator Chenab Valley Advocate Nazim Qazi accompanied by party activists Javed Ahanger, Shahid Hussain Butt, Sheikh Imran, Zaheen Butt ,Maqsood zargar and a delegation of MGNREGA employees met with DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana at his office chamber and took up the issue of salaries of the employees.
Advocate Nazim Qazi apprised the District Commissioner in detail about the peculiarities of the case and the High Court directions in this regard. He further added that these employees have been working day night for the department with positivity and if the energies of our youth aren't channelized in a positive prospect, same could obvious force them to take a path that leads to untoward incident. He said that many of them are working in the department since last over 10 years and many of them had already crossed the uppar age limit.
The aggrieved GRS inform DC Kishtwar about the sufferings they are undergoing through added that their children's has been asked to leave the schools as they fail to provide monthly school fee of their children's.
They also termed the disengagement as harsh and selectively added that in other Districts of the state, the court order was implemented in letter and spirit and urged upon DC Kishtwar and the government to give sympathetic consideration over the issue.
DC Kishtwar after having a detailed conversation with the delegation lead by Advocate Nazim Qazi assured them that he will sort out the matter while the employees in the delegation expressed their gratitude to Advocate Nazim Qazi for supporting their just cause.
DC Kishtwar also immediately directed ACD Kishtwar to submit a detail draft to him in view of court directions so that he could take up the matter with higher authorities for amicable and appropriate solution to the issue.
The delegation also raise the issue of termination of NHM employees and requested him to consider the revoking of termination orders of NHM employees.
