103 terrorists killed this year, Pak violated ceasefire 1,170 times | | | Agencies New Delhi, June 7: Indian security forces killed over 100 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir till June 6 this year, according to defence sources. In 2019, the security forces eliminated 103 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, while in 2018, 254 terrorists were killed, according to a report. The sources also revealed that Pakistan violated ceasefire 1,170 times in 2019 till June 6 and 1,629 times in 2018. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on December 12, 2018, said that the number of terror-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in 2018 nearly doubled. The year 2018 saw 238 terror operatives being neutralised by security forces in the state till December 2, 2018. As many as 86 security personnel and 37 civilians also lost their lives in 2018. |
