Water crisis deepens at Narwal Pain, PHE unmoved | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 7: Water crisis has virtually deepened in Ward No 2 of Narwal Pain , thanks to apathy of the Public Health Engineering Department. The Early Times has been regularly highlighting the issue of the water woes of residents of Ward No. 2 near Masjid but no initiative has been taken till date by the department. Although the issue has been brought in the knowledge of higher officials of the department who assured to resolve the issue but on ground nothing seems to have changed. "The PHE Department has failed to provide basic necessity to the residents which is the right of every human being and these people are spending their time in distress and awaiting the department for taking corrective measures to make water available to the people," they alleged. The more shocking part of this matter is that only few households have not access to the PHE water supply in Ward No. 2 while rest of the locality get water supply two times a day which is a matter of serious concern and the department has become mute spectator to this injustice. Moreover, the local leaders are least bothered to sort out their problems who claimed themselves to be the leader of their locality. |
