Early Times Report Jammu, July 24: In the slapgate case at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Mahogla in Kalakote, the Chief education Officer (CEO) Rajouri on Wednesday ordered an enquiry, but despite written complaint filed by the journalist who was assaulted, police appears to be buying time. The exam superintendent had slapped the journalist for capturing the alleged mass copying during an exam on July 22, and acting swiftly the CEO Rajouri constituted a three-member committee to look into the matter. Sanjeev Suri, Principal GHHS Kalakote, Sher Mohammad, senior lecturer GHSS Sailsui, and Rajesh Khajuira, lecturer, were asked by the CEO to submit a report into the incident. According to Sahil Koul, the journalist, he submitted a written complaint on the same day, but police has not registered a case yet. "Some people claiming as members of the RSS are pressuring me and warning me of dire consequences if I went ahead with my complaint. I have received number of phone complaints from different numbers with similar suggestions: not to pursue the case," he said. "I appeal the media fraternity to come to my support," he said, adding that he has been threatened that if he does not withdraw his complaint he would also face a police case for trespassing into school premises, which he has not committed. |
