Bungalow in Janipur, XEn mints fortunes | | | AB Sharma Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 24: An Executive Engineer working with the Public Works Department in Rajouri has allegedly minted cores of rupees, disproportionate to his known sources of income. Sources said the XEn and his spouse who is also a government employee, must have in aggregate earned around Rs one crore as salary from their jobs. But sources said their properties are worth around Rs 30 crores. It was reliably learnt that the official owns a plush bungalow with around two kanal land in Janipur area of Jammu and also luxury cars. Besides they have numerous properties elsewhere whereas their children are studying outside in "costly educational institutions." Sources in the PWD said the engineer had been favorite of some senior politicians who during their tenures managed giving him plum postings. "He grabbed fortunes from such postings," said a source in the PWD. The Sunderbani locals said the government should order an inquiry into the matter and appealed the Raj Bhawan to personally look into the matter. Despite repeated attempts the Executive in question couldn't be contacted for comments. |
