Crime, security review meeting held; Bada Khana organised | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 27: Police organised a meeting to review crime as well as to take stock of security grid in Rajouri district. Meeting was chaired by Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Yougal Manhas in which Additional Superintendent of Police, Nowshera GL Sharma, Deputy SP Headquarters Rajouri, Surinder Khadyal, Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera, Brijesh Sharma, Sub Divisional Police Officer Manjakote, Nisar Khoja, Deputy SP PC (Opertions), Pranav Mahajan, Deputy SP DAR Rajouri, Zaheer Abbas, Sub Divisional Police Officer Thanamandi, Mohammad Sidiq, Prosecuting Officers, Station House Officers and Police Post Incharges were present. While reviewing crime cases, SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas directed each officer to ensure that cases are chargesheeted in due course of time and any inordinate delay in the same will be face departmental action. In terms of security grid in the district, all the officers informed SSP Rajouri that all the police stations and police posts are conducting regular patrols and checking points are laid alongwith central para military forces and army. SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas directed all the police stations and police posts officers having their jurisdiction on Line of Control to be an active part in Counter Insurgency grid and to hold regular meetings with army and other security agencies. They were directed to conduct area domination patrols on regular basis and to strengthen public contact in Line of Control villages. SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas also directed all the officers to identify notorious drug peddlers and bovine smugglers as district police is all set to pace the drive against the menace of drugs peddling and bovine smuggling. They were also directed to have a zero-tolerance policy against drug peddlers and bovine smugglers. During this meeting, a specific review of security arrangements in context with forthcoming Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra and Independence Day was held wherein all the security related points were discussed threadbare. Later, a 'Bada-Khana' was also organised by District Police Office in Police lines in which over six hundred officials from district police, armed police and CRPF took part. In this 'Bada Khana', a direct interaction between officers and officials was held with an aim to further strengthen inter-police coordination among various ranks. |
