| Transformer installed inside nallah | | |  Jammu, July 27: The callousness on part of Power Development Department can be judged from this fact that the department installed a transformer inside the nallah by erecting four poles at Guru Nanak Nagar Sector No. 14.
Harjeet Singh Anand informed Munish Gupta during the mass contact programme that "we repeatedly requested PDD to relocate this transformer which is posing threat to lives."
"We were assured us that the transformer would be relocated or installed on the concrete slab but nothing has been happened so far", said Harvans Lal Sharma.
He said that on Saturday morning the overflowing water entered into his house and damaged the household goods. The sewerage nallah is already encroached and not desilted from many years, as a result the bed of the nallah is full of garbage which creates hindrance to free flow of water, and nobody seems bothered about it. |
