LoC land scam whistleblower `gets' life threat, demands in-depth probe | | | Sushil Dutta Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 27: Chotu Ram, an aged man from Nowshera, who is an ex-serviceman and whistleblower in suspected multi-crore scam has been getting death. He has appealed to the Prime Minister of India to order an inquiry for in-depth probe into the matter. Chotu Ram, in his fresh media statement, said that some serving and some retired officers of revenue department, defence estates and other concerned departments hatched a conspiracy and withdrew compensation for land on Line of Control which in actual is located on other side of Line of Control in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. He said that state vigilance (now ACB) has already taken cognizance of the scam while Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has also taken cognizance. "Many former Deputy Commissioners of Rajouri, Tehsildars and other officers are involved in the scam who have looted the government exchequer and withdrew compensation for land in PoK and all the accused, including some locals of Nowshera, should be thrown behind the bars," he further said. Whistleblower also said that accused in the case are irked with his voice against the scam and have hatched a conspiracy to murder him and state government departments should be responsible for my death as they are constantly ignoring the threats. He also appealed Prime Minister of India to appoint an inquiry commission and to hold an in-depth probe into the matter. |
