| Forest Deptt organizes plantation drive at panchayat Sundla | | |  Early Times Report
Ramkote, July 27: The Ramkot division of Jammu and Kashmir Forest department in coordination with Sarpanch of Panchayat Sundla organized a plantation drive in the panchayat.
The Sarpanch of panchayat Sundla Raman Kumar along with Naib Sarpanch and other panchayat members hosted the event in which Forest Range officer Ramkot Tara Chand was present as chief guest.
The Forest department provided sapling of plants and same were planted in two schools including Government High School Sundla and Government Middle School Omara. In addition to this, fruit plants were also distributed among the villagers of the area, free of cost.
The initiative was taken by Panchayat members to create awareness among the students as well as villagers of the area about saving the environment. People of Sundla panchayat were present in large number during the event. |
