Samba, Oct 10, District Police Samba have arrested four gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered stake money of Rs 1500/- from their possession. Acting on specific information about gambling, a Police Party headed by SHO Vijaypur, Inspector Chaman Ghorkha under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Dr. Karan Taneja raided the gambling spot at Garota Mandi, Vijaypur in the premises of PHE water supply reservoir and arrested four gamblers along with stake money of Rs. 1500/- and playing Cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Shiv Deep Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Rajan Singh and Daljeet Singh all resident of Garota Mandi, Vijaypur. In this regard, a case FIR No.155/2019 U/S 3/9 Public Gambling Act has been registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation started. |
