Nominations for BDC polls from Kashmir a slap on face of NC, PDP, Cong: Yudhvir Sethi
10/10/2019 10:40:23 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 10: Nominations in abundance especially from Valley for the upcoming Block Development Council (BDC) polls is a big slap on the face NC, PDP and Congress politicians, who never allowed the democracy to flourish in the State of Jammu and Kashmir by hoodwinking all such endeavours taken in this direction. Now by acknowledging the sincere and visionary efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through such a large number of nominations in BDC polls, the people in J&K especially Kashmir have showered unprecedented support to Centre's people-centric policies for strengthening democracy at grass roots level. This was said by State BJP General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi in a statement issued here on Thursday. He said that the current political trend in the Valley is a clear sign that masses there want freedom from so called politicians who believed only in dynastic rule. He said Kashmiri politicians ruthlessly misguided the people of Kashmir Valley for years together only to satiate their vested interests and blackmail the consecutive central dispensations. "Unlike the set precedent in the State, this time the people in the Valley have dared to confront all the dynast politicians of Kashmir to help strengthen the democracy by giving a nod to participate in BDC polls in such a colossal manner leaving the leaders of NC, PDP and Congress to lurch for garnering support to falter the process of BDC polls", he said adding that the situation in J&K is a testimony to the fact that Modi-led Union Government has ended the age-old dynastic rule which was marring the welfare of people since last so many decades.
