NMC urges Guv to release pending DA installments | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 10: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri today urged the Governor to release pending installment of five percent DA in favour of State Government employees and pensioners, as the same has been approved by the Union Cabinet in favour of its employees and pensioners. In a well attended meeting of NMC Workers held at Gandhi Nagar here on Thursday, Shastri said that Jammu & Kashmir, under Governor's administration, was the first State of country to release previous instalment of DA due from January 2019, after it was released by the Central Government. Shastri said that State Government has already made a provision for allocation of funds for DA instalments. He requested the Government to release the same in favour of employees and pensioners of the State Government at the earliest, so that salaried class/pensioners can get a sigh of relief from rising prices and inflation. Shastri further said, "As the Central Government has already released the DA instalment in favour of its employees and pensioners, same should be released by the State Government at the earliest, as delay in releasing the same will ultimately pile-up huge arrears thus adding extra burden on State Government." Shastri further hoped that the administration under Governor, Satya Pal Malik would release pending instalment of DA on top priority for welfare of State Government employees and pensioners. |
