Govt's Back to Village campaign a flop show: congress alleges | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 28: District Congress Committee Rajouri alleged that the Back To Village Campaign of the government is a flop show as there are hollow slogans and no developmental activity in villages. Former Minister and District President Congress Committee Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Khan said that the Panchayats are without any funds for the last one year and there is no developmental activity on the ground, whereas the government is indulging in false propaganda and publicity only. The people in various Panchayats have shown strong resentment against the government for indulging in publicity stunts only without any follow up activity. All problems prioritized by the Panchayats during first B2 village exercise have remained unresolved and there were no developmental work in the villages in the absence of funds. He said that crores of rupees of MGNREGA liabilities have not been cleared by the government for years together as a result there is strong resentment amongst the people and poor job card worker. He said that villages are facing lot of hardships due to lack of urgent developmental works of various kinds including connectivity, electricity works, flood control, irrigation and water supply needs while government makes hollow claims on various fronts. |
